Bio: Radio interest started with AM Broadcast Band and TV DXing in late 1950s. Heard hams when I first listened to shortwave. Got the ham radio bug "forever" upon first visit to a ham's shack (WA6CUW in Fallbrook, CA) and hearing him make a QSO. First contest was Sweepstakes in 1964 won Santa Barbara section with 82 QSOs! Favorite contests: SS, CQP, CW Sprint, FD. Present station: IC-746, 4-element SteppIR (20 -> 6 mtrs), 40-2CD, 30 meter rotary dipole. Use DX4WIN for most logging, N1MM for contests (have used CT and WriteLog in the past) Have never owned an amplifier. DXCC Honor Roll have "worked 'em all" except for Heard Island.
